Broome Named Vice-Chairman of House Game, Fish and Parks Committee 
Atlanta State Representative Hugh Broome (D-Donalsonville) has been selected to serve as Vice-Chairman of the House Game Fish and Parks Committee. 
Rep. Broome, who also serves on the House Natural Resources and Environment and House Retirement Committees was appointed to the post by House Speaker Terry Coleman (DEastman). 
"Representative Broome's demonstrated leadership and ability on the Game, Fish and Parks Committee made him the ideal choice to be Vice-Chairman," said Speaker Coleman. "His knowledge and experience will contribute greatly to the effectiveness of the committee's efforts." 
The Game Fish and Parks Committee examines all bills relating to hunting, fishing, trapping, license fees, state parks and would handle any legislation dealing with the Game Fish and Parks Division within the Department of Natural Resources. 
"I am honored to have been named Vice-Chairman of this important committee," said Broome. "Georgia has a rich history of sportsmen and women hunting in our woods and fishing in our waters. Georgia's State Parks system is known nationwide for its beauty and diversity of wildlife and plants. Together these ventures bring in many billions of dollars to Georgia's economy. Their management and regulation are therefore vital to this state, both from an economic, and quality of life point of view."
