Creation of New City to be Addressed

Atlanta Representative Tommy Smith, D-Nicholls, appointed members of the SubCommittee on Sandy Springs, which is an area outside of metro Atlanta that wants to become a city. The 10 member Committee will address legislation granting the densely populated region a new city charter. 
Rep. Smith is Chairman of the State Institutions and Property Committee and serves on the Appropriations, health and Human Service and MARTOC committees.
