The move will bring more than 800 jobs to metro Atlanta by 2020. The health care organization is investing $51 million to purchase and renovate an 185,000 square foot office complex on 18 acres in Duluth near I-85. The new Georgia facility will open in fall 2016 and will serve more than 10 million customers in eight states and the District of Columbia, including about 300,000 in Georgia. The non-profit health care provider already operates contact centers in California, Colorado, Hawaii and Maryland. Employees there answer 15 million phone calls and a million e-mails a year about insurance coverage, billing and other issues. The company is also preparing to open a previously announced new IT facility in Atlanta. Valmiera Glass Group has announced plans to expand its factory in Laurens County.
