FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Georgia Department of Labor schedules veterans job fair in Loganville ATLANTA State Labor Commissioner Michael Thurmond said today that the Georgia Department of Labor and the American Legion will co-sponsor a job fair for veterans, personnel recently separated from active duty, and other job seekers in Gwinnett, Newton, Walton and surrounding counties. The job fair will be held Wednesday, March 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the American Legion Post Number 233, located at 4635 Atlanta Highway, which is U.S. Highway 78 in Loganville. Commissioner Thurmond said, "This job fair is designed to bring employers and organizations in the Loganville area together with veterans and other job seekers who are looking for employment or career guidance. Job seekers will receive cutting edge information on job search, career planning, and other valuable services to help them reach their full workplace potential." The event will feature more than 60 employers that will be hiring to fill current job openings. In addition, other employers will be discussing possible future employment opportunities with the job seekers, while other organizations will be providing educational and other resources. Applicants should bring plenty of resumes and be prepared to fill out company applications and interview for available job openings.
