FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Georgia Department of Labor schedules Tifton area career fair ATLANTA State Labor Commissioner Michael Thurmond said today that the Georgia Department of Labor's Tifton Career Center, Tift Area Employer Committee, and Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) will sponsor a career fair for employers and job seekers in the area. The event will be held Friday, March 28, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. in Gressette Gymnasium at ABAC, located at 2802 Moore Highway in Tifton. Commissioner Thurmond said, "This career fair is designed to bring Tifton area employers and organizations together with students, veterans, and others who are seeking employment or career guidance. Job seekers will receive cutting edge information on job search, career planning, and other valuable services designed to help them reach their full workplace potential." The event will feature about 40 employers that will be hiring to fill current job openings. In addition, other employers will be discussing possible future employment opportunities with the job seekers, while other organizations will be providing educational and other resources. Applicants should bring plenty of resumes and be prepared to fill out company applications and interview for available job openings. Among the employers expected to participate in the event include: Affordable RX Solutions, AFLAC, Arbonne International, Childcare Resource and Referral, City of Albany's Human Resources Office, DeKalb County Police Department, Department of Juvenile Justice, Diversified Enterprises, Equity Group-Georgia Division, Forest Park Police Department, Georgia State Patrol, Gibbs Landscape, Holder Landscape Management, Kelly Services, Kids Advocacy Coalition, Melaleuca Wellness Company, Mother's Love Child Care, Moultrie Police Department, Osmose Utility Services, Papa John's Pizza, Partners Advantage Land O Lake, Phoebe Putney Hospital, Premium Waters, Talent Tree, Target Distribution Center, Thomasville Police Department, Tift County Recreation Department, Tift Health Care, Tift Regional Medical Center, Tift Regional Radiology, Turner Furniture, Turning Point Hospital, Tyson Foods, U.
