Georgia Department of Labor schedules job fair/career expo in Moultrie 
ATLANTA  State Labor Commissioner Michael Thurmond said today that the Georgia Department of Labor's Moultrie Career Center, the Colquitt County Employer Committee, and Moultrie Technical College will co-sponsor a job fair and career expo for employers and job seekers in the area. 
The event will be held Thursday, May 17, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the technical college's conference center, located at 800 Veterans Parkway North in Moultrie. 
Commissioner Thurmond said, "This job fair and career expo is designed to bring employers and organizations in the Moultrie area together with job seekers who are looking for employment or career guidance. Job seekers will receive cutting edge information on job search, career planning, and other valuable services to help them reach their full workplace potential." 
The event will feature about 50 employers that will be hiring to fill current job openings. In addition, other employers will be discussing possible future employment opportunities with the job seekers, while other organizations will be providing educational and other resources. Applicants should bring plenty of resumes and be prepared to fill out company applications and interview for available job openings. 
Among the employers expected to participate in the event include: Amputee Prosthetic, Avon, Bank of Lenox, Captain D's, Carrie Viohl Photography, Care One Home Health Services, Caterpillar, Colquitt Regional Hospital, COI Food Service Distribution Manufacturing, Colony Bank, Convergys, First Community Bank, Georgia Forestry Commission, Green Oaks Center, Quality Employment Service, South Georgia Banking Company, Southwest Georgia Bank, Sparkman Cream Valley, Sunrise Health Care Center, Target, Tallahassee Police Department, and Tift Regional Medical Center.
