Georgia Department of Labor schedules job fair/career expo in Toccoa 
ATLANTA  State Labor Commissioner Michael Thurmond said today that the Georgia Department of Labor's Toccoa Career Center and North Georgia Technical College will cosponsor a job fair and career expo for employers and job seekers in the area. 
The job fair and career expo will be held Friday, Nov. 16, from 1-4 p.m. at the technical college's Currahee Campus at 8989 Georgia Highway 17 South in Toccoa. 
Commissioner Thurmond said, "This job fair and career expo is designed to bring employers and organizations in the Toccoa area together with job seekers who are looking for employment or career guidance. Job seekers will receive cutting edge information on job search, career planning, and other valuable services to help them reach their full workplace potential." 
The event is expected to feature about 50 employers that will be hiring to fill current job openings. In addition, other employers will be discussing possible future employment opportunities with job seekers, while other organizations will be providing educational and other resources. Applicants should bring plenty of resumes and be prepared to fill out company applications and interview for available job openings. 
Among the employers expected to participate in the event are: Banks County E-911, Cleveland Electric, Department of Juvenile Justice, Employment Staffing, ETCON Staffing, Fenner Dunlop, GAP Outlet, Habersham County E-911, Habersham Furniture, Home Nurse, Latexco, LLC, Lee Arrendale State Prison, Milliken Avalon Plant, Nurse Management Services, Petro, Phillips Staffing, Primerica, Propex, Randstad, Southern Home Care, Spherion, Standard Register, Stephens County E-911, U.S. Army, and Wellstone Mills.
