Labor department to help area retailers recruit workers in Waycross
ATLANTA The Georgia Department of Labor's Waycross Career Center will help three local retailers fill a number of job openings at their establishments in Waycross.
"We're pleased to help connect job seekers in the Waycross area with the jobs offered by local retailers," said State Labor Commissioner Michael Thurmond. "I encourage everyone who may be interested to take full advantage of this opportunity."
The career center will host a recruitment effort for Tractor Supply on Monday and Tuesday, April 18-19, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for Sears on Tuesday, April 19, from 12 noon to 4:30 p.m., and for Sonic Drive Inn Restaurant on Tuesday, April 19, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. All three recruiting efforts will be held at 600 Plant Ave. in Waycross, the site of the career center.
