Labor department to co-sponsor job expo for LaGrange area
ATLANTA The Georgia Department of Labor's LaGrange Career Center and several other local organizations will sponsor a job expo for employers, veterans, and other job seekers in the West Central Georgia area.
The event will be held Thursday, April 22, from 2-6 p.m. at the Callaway Conference Center, West Georgia Technical College, 303 Fort Dr. in LaGrange. Other job expo sponsors include: the West Central Georgia Workforce Investment Board (WIB), the West Georgia-LaGrange Employer Committee, the LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce, and the LaGrange Daily News.
The job expo, which will be open to the public, is an opportunity for job seekers to meet area employers and discuss job openings at their companies. In addition to providing a wide variety of employment opportunities, the expo will include workshops on such employment-related topics as how to write a successful resume and how to conduct a successful job search. Computers will also be available for job searches.
