Labor department to sponsor mini-job fair for Reliance Manufacturing Company in Jeff Davis County
ATLANTA The Georgia Department of Labor's Jesup Career Center will help a new knitting factory, Reliance Manufacturing Company (Armitec), fill more than 30 job openings for experienced sewing/knitting machine operators at its plant in Hazlehurst.
A mini-job fair for the company will be held Friday, April 16, from 9-11 a.m. at the Bacon County Chamber of Commerce, 1120 West 12th St. in Alma.
Reliance Manufacturing has a government contract to produce clothing for the U. S. military, postal service, and prison system. The starting salary for sewing/knitting machine operators is $6 an hour, with the potential to earn as much as $14 an hour, based on production.
