Employers sought for Clear Channel Radio Job Fair in Columbus 
ATLANTA  The Georgia Department of Labor's Columbus Career Center and Clear Channel Radio are looking for employers to participate in the 2nd annual Clear Channel Job Fair/Career Expo in February in Columbus. 
The event will be held for veterans, active-duty military personnel, their dependents, students, and other job seekers in the Columbus/Fort Benning area to have opportunities to find jobs and consider new careers. 
The job fair/career expo, which is expected to draw as many as 200 employers and 5,000 job seekers and other visitors, is set for Thursday, Feb. 3, at the Columbus Trade Center, 801 Front Ave. in Columbus. Representatives of colleges and universities, as well as local, regional, and national industries, are expected to participate in the one-day event. 
Employers who would like to participate in the job fair/career expo may contact Local Veterans Employment Representative (LVER) Walter Pollock of the Columbus Career Center at (706) 649-7423. 
The career center provides job seekers and employers with a wealth of new information and resource services, modern technology, and a customer-focused, state-of-the-art business environment. The Georgia Department of Labor has enhanced its services to customers with the development of a new and improved web site. The on-line resource gives information on the various services and programs operated by the labor department and other Georgia workforce partners. Additionally, the web site helps equip workers and new entrants into the job market with the tools and information needed to evaluate career options, prepare for work, and find the right job. It also provides employers with an abundance of workforce-related information. The site may be accessed at www.dol.state.ga.us.
