Atlanta, Georgia 30303-1751 (404)656-3032 January 5, 2000 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE LABOR DEPARTMENT TO RECRUIT FOR SUPER BOWL JOBS TOMORROW ATLANTA -- The Georgia Department of Labor and Contemporary Services Corp. will cosponsor a recruitment tomorrow to help fill more than 1,000 temporary jobs for the Super Bowl. The super bowl job recruitment will be held Thursday, Jan. 6, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Gwinnett Civic and Cultural Center located at 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth. It will be in rooms 3-A and 3-B. Contemporary Services Corp. is the temporary employment agency for Super Bowl XXXIV, which is scheduled to be held Jan. 30 in Atlanta. During the week leading up to the Super Bowl, the company will provide security for all official National Football League (NFL) property and events, such as team practices, players association meetings, youth clinics, press conferences and hotel activities. On game day, the company will handle crowd management, access control and security for the game itself. In addition to security personnel, some of the openings include jobs as ticket sellers and takers, ushers, supervisors and staff for various events. Some of the jobs will begin immediately and extend through Feb. 4. Applicants should bring their work history for the last five years, or resume and be prepared to interview. They should also have two valid forms of identifications, such as a drivers license, social security card, or passport.
