NAMED RUNNER-UP IN STATE LABOR 
 
DEPARTMENT'S IAPES COMPETITION 
 
ATLANTA -- Mary O'Connell, left, a disabled veteran outreach program specialist in the Georgia Department of Labor's North Metro Atlanta office, was named runner-up in the department's Newsletter Correspondent Award competition. The award recognizes the best correspondent for Georgia IAPES NEWSLINE, the official publication of the Georgia Chapter of the International Association of Personnel in Employment Security (IAPES), the professional organization of the labor department. The award was presented by Ken Hain of Atlanta, right, the president of the Georgia chapter of IAPES, at the organization's 55th annual educational conference held recently at Jekyll Island.
