America's leaders came together at this island getaway "to secure an escape" from the demands of their everyday lives and participate in activities like yachting, gol ng, tennis, skeet-shooting, bicycling, and motoring. e museum shares the stories of Jekyll Island Club Members gathered through its extensive archival collection of historic photographs, documentary records, and oral histories. More than 20,000 artifacts showcase the island's unique heritage. Continuous preservation and restoration of the National Historic Landmark District, one of the largest ongoing preservation programs in the Southeast, also reveals details of Jekyll Island's storied past. Current and upcoming restoration projects include Faith Chapel and Dubignon Co age.
