The processing and packaging of materials resulted in 17 hazardous waste containers with a total volume of 225 gallons. The total weight of the hazardous waste was 205 pounds. All 9 Georgia ACS facilities were operational during the quarter. The ACS program Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the GBI and DEA was renewed during December of 2020. Related MOUs between the GBI and seven of the nine host agencies that manage the ACS container sites have been renewed. The remainder are in the process of renewal. The DEA Training Division has once again started offering ACS training to state and local personnel. Monthly Update - Application development continues. The PM coordinated external meetings with CFR's staff supervisor and developer to determine the report type requested outside of the original scope. PM and developer continue to meet biweekly to review status of action items both completed and in progress. The PM has created a project schedule and notified CFR staff of testing environment readiness for Phase 1. The PM has also provided feedback to the developer regarding the training manual. CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT (CRM) Project Description - The CRM Application Project will provide a single source of historical interaction with external customers and will provide GCIC end users the ability to search, track and report customer interactions throughout business units. Monthly Update - There are no updates this month. CUSTOMER SUPPORT & TRAINING Project Description - The Customer Support Training group provides training in GCIC programs, GCIC applications, and GCIC/FBI compliance to criminal justice agencies across the State of Georgia. The group extends the option to receive classroom training or training within an eLearning environment. Monthly Update - Training Staff handled 200 phone calls, 2,276 emails, 22 crystal reports and managed LMS user account additions. Multiple webinars and one-on-one trainings are being completed to meet State of Georgia training needs and a new CJIS Network Operator Operations Bulletin and training was posted within LMS. 15 16 GEORGIA APPLICANT PROCESSING SERVICE (GAPS) PROJECT Project Description - The Information Services section of GCIC is seeking to obtain the services of a qualified and experienced vendor to provide an applicant fingerprinting solution that will electronically capture and submit applicant fingerprints to the Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS). The selected vendor shall also handle receiving fingerprint search results and disseminating results to the requestor. Monthly Update - The development team is working to resolve continuing operational issues. GEORGIA LAW ENFORCEMENT MESSAGE SWITCH (GLEMS) Project Description - The message switch provides a means of communication between federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies throughout the state of Georgia, the United States, and other countries, and to take advantage of new features and advances in technology. GCIC is looking to upgrade or replace this system. Monthly Update - The team reviewed and accepted the detailed technical specifications of the system design and the discovery, design, and development phases will start next. HUMAN RESOURCE (HR) TIMESHEET PROJECT Project Description - Enhancement of the application used by non-sworn units of the GBI for tracking time. Monthly Update - There are no updates this month. 17 NATIONAL INCIDENT-BASED REPORTING SYSTEM (NIBRS) PROJECT Project Description - The National Incident Based Reporting System (NIBRS) collects law enforcement data on each single incident and arrest for each offense for which specific facts are collected. GBI is in the process of replacing the current UCR summary-based system with this system. Monthly Update - The GBI reviewed the final technical specifications and the vendor will work on the changes. The vendor will rework the specifications, XML schema, and some development work to accommodate additional data elements for victim and offender. The timeline will be impacted by 3-5 weeks. The vendor continues to work on the 2019 Publication and is awaiting the necessary update confirmation information requested from the agencies. RAP BACK PROJECT Project Description - The Rap Back project will provide the ability to receive ongoing status notifications of criminal history activity reported on individuals holding positions of trust. Georgia's Rap Back System will include the retention of applicant fingerprints, the implementation of an FBI Rap Back Subscription on such prints, and the creation of a validation process for authorized entities to manage such subscriptions. Monthly Update - The AFIS vendor received written confirmation of successful completion of the Formal Non-Criminal Justice NGI Rap Back acceptance testing from the FBI CJIS Division for Rap Back triggers, notifications, and responses. Monthly calls updating GBI on the progress of Rap Back development continue and Rap Back features are scheduled to deploy the week of April 1. The GAPS vendor is experiencing issues with their back-end processing for Rap Back testing and UAT and integration testing have been delayed until the issue is resolved. Due to GAPS vendor issues, the "Go Live" target date has been moved to mid-April. GCIC continues with internal weekly calls to discuss vendor expectations. SERVER REFRESH Project Description - GBI is working in collaboration with GTA with the replacement, installation and configuration of several server hardware replacements and software installs. Monthly Update - Weekly meetings are being held to determine the work GBI must finish such as firewall completion, opening of ports and privilege access requests. Project Managers are creating project schedules. GBI IT continues to remove access from the old server and setup agency access on the new SFTP and communication was sent to Stakeholders impacted by the replacement of the new Secured FTP (SFTP) server. 18
