Monthly Update - The developer provided application status updates and CFR staff feedback is pending regarding acknowledgement/agreement of the updates. CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT (CRM) Project Description - The CRM Application Project will provide a single source of historical interaction with GCIC external customers. The application will give GCIC end users the ability to search, track and report customer interactions throughout GCIC's business units. Monthly Update - The training unit continues to record voice-over for the training and will be available within LMS when completed. CUSTOMER SUPPORT & TRAINING Project Description - The Customer Support Training group provides training in GCIC programs, GCIC applications, GCIC/FBI compliance to criminal justice agencies across the State of Georgia. The group extends the option to receive classroom training or training within an e-Learning environment. Monthly Update - The trainings completed online and within the classrooms are included in the charts. The Training Staff handled 43 phone calls, 881 emails, processed 44 crystal reports and managed LMS user account additions. As of mid-March, the training unit has transitioned from face-to-face classroom training to an online environment and multiple webinars and one-on-one trainings are being completed to meet State of Georgia training needs. New training is being developed and outdated courses will be removed from the LMS. 14 15 DEPARTMENT OF DRIVERS SERVICES (DDS) DRIVES PROJECT Project Description - The Georgia Driver Record and Integrated Vehicle Enterprise System (DRIVES) is a system upgrade to update and enhance the title and vehicle registration functions of the Department of Revenue. The system utilizes modern technology to streamline existing processes and enable more online services. The implementation date of phase 2 is January 2021. Monthly Update - The GBI continues to work with DDS on the DRIVES project by attending regularly scheduled meetings and conducting transactions with preapproved records in the test environment. Unisys developed a new stylesheet to resolve issues with the photo retrieval when out-of-state agencies query the system and these changes are being evaluated and tested. GBI setup devices and users for DDS on the Portal XL test system. DDS is awaiting on SSL/VPN access to begin testing the connection. GEORGIA APPLICANT PROCESSING SERVICE (GAPS) PROJECT Project Description - The Georgia Crime Information Center Information Services is seeking to obtain the services of a qualified and experienced vendor to provide an applicant fingerprinting solution that will electronically capture and submit applicant fingerprints to the Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS). In addition, the selected vendor shall handle receiving fingerprint search results and disseminate the results to the requestor. Monthly Update End-to-end acceptance testing is complete and internal and external user training is progressing. The GAPS vendor introduced a new upper management team to GCIC and due to new organizational changes, an assessment of the GAPS mobile app is not complete. "GoLive" date is set for June 1. GEORGIA LAW ENFORCEMENT MESSAGE SWITCH (GLEMS) Project Description - The message switch provides a means of communication between federal, state and local law enforcement agencies throughout the state of Georgia, the United States and other countries and to take advantage of new features and advances in technology, GCIC is looking to upgrade or replace this system. Monthly Update - Bid solicitations closed on May 4 and technical evaluations are currently being conducted through the first week in June. The GLEMS solicitation will move into cost evaluations once technical evaluations are completed. HUMAN RESOURCE (HR) TIMESHEET PROJECT Project Description - Enhancement of the application used by non-sworn units of the GBI for tracking time. Monthly Update - Development of the HR administrative user view & functionalities has been completed and the programmer is working on PDF functionality. 16 NATIONAL INCIDENT-BASED REPORTING SYSTEM (NIBRS) PROJECT Project Description - The National Incident Based Reporting System (NIBRS) collects data on each single incident and arrest for each offense coming to the attention of law enforcement for which specific facts about each crime is collected. GBI is in the process of replacing the current UCR summary-based system with an application that will collect incident-based data. Monthly Update - GBI identified anomalies between the Publication Population and the Agency County Population totals. Problems were also experienced when processing the NIBRS XML extract and this issue was addressed. In addition, the vendor is addressing the missing race additions for victim and offender on the Law Enforcement Officers Killed and Assaulted (LEOKA) and Hate Crime Incident Reports. RAP BACK PROJECT Project Description - The Rap Back project will provide the ability to receive ongoing status notifications of criminal history activity reported on individuals holding positions of trust. Georgia's Rap Back System will include the retention of applicant fingerprints, the implementation of an FBI Rap Back Subscription on such prints, and the creation of a validation process for authorized entities to manage such subscriptions. Monthly Update - AFIS and CCH vendor development was complete and integration testing started as scheduled but did not complete during the reporting period and additional time has been added to the project schedule. Production deployment is scheduled for mid/late July followed by final acceptance and sign-off by the GBI. The GAPS vendor is reviewing the Georgia Live Scan Specification and Georgia's Rap Back change document to understand any disparities and to update any front-end functionality. The GAPS vendor will provide an updated Detailed Requirements Specification (DRS) after requirements gathering documentation is complete. A requirements review will be performed weekly via conference calls to provide feedback to the teams and for updating the DRS. 17
