Monthly Update - The developer continues writing code for the application. During system demonstration, CFR staff made suggestions to remove the Sudden Deaths in Youths (SDY) tab due to completion of a clinical cases program for SDY. CRIMINAL JUSTICE EXCHANGE PROJECT (CJEP) Project Description - CJEP will incorporate the electronic exchanges of information between state and local criminal justice agencies in Georgia and will involve the coordination of multiple agencies and vendor applications. The goals of the project are to create seamless connections between systems, establish a single, consistent architecture adopted to guide all aspects of program implementation and to establish a governance structure that views criminal justice as a statewide community. Monthly Update - A formal meeting was held with project vendors to validate vendor ability to meet the August 30 implementation date for primary exchanges. The project timeline, scope, deliverable dates, goals, risks/issues, objectives and resource requirements were discussed during the two-day meeting. Continued discussions took place with two of the exchange vendors that cannot commit to the August 30 date. Both CJEP vendors (CSG and URL) added additional resources and are onboard and engaged with project activities. CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT (CRM) Project Description - The CRM Application Project will provide a single source of historical interaction with GCIC external customers. The application will give GCIC end users the ability to search, track and report customer interactions throughout GCIC's business units. Monthly Update - Additional requests were made to GCIC Managers to obtain verbiage for email notifications. The project will be reassigned to a new project manager. CUSTOMER SUPPORT & TRAINING Project Description - The Customer Support Training group provides training in GCIC programs, GCIC applications, GCIC/FBI compliance to criminal justice agencies across the State of Georgia. The group extends the option to receive classroom training or training within an e-Learning environment. Monthly Update - The trainings completed online and within the classrooms for the month are included in the charts. The LMS Staff handled 161 phone calls, 1,308 emails, processed 51 crystal reports and managed LMS user account additions. 14 15 DEPARTMENT OF DRIVER SERVICES (DDS) - CARD PRODUCTION SERVICES (CPS) Project Description - The Department of Driver Services is working with a new vendor on a card production service. The new system will provide GCIC with a driver's license (DL)/ID photograph when a driver inquiry is performed. The latest image for a DL number will be retrieved by GCIC via a web service call. Monthly Update - GCIC resumed testing and conversion of the DL photo interface between GCIC and DDS to the new vendor system. Working to identify a way to install and configure TLS 1.2 on the system, which is running an old operating system (Server 2008). DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE (DOR) DRIVES PROJECT Project Description - The purpose of this project is to document, configure, integrate, and test two interfaces with the new DOR Driver Record and Integrated Vehicle Enterprise System (DRIVES). The two new interfaces will use existing LEMS Web Services capabilities with National Information Exchange Model (NIEM) Extensible Markup Language (XML) message formats. One interface will be used to send and receive vehicle registration queries and responses to and from DRIVES. The other interface will be used to receive stolen vehicle requests and responses to and from DRIVES. Monthly Update - GBI completed several tests and configurations to prepare for the DRIVES implementation. Installed and configured LEMSJX webservice that will be consumed by DRIVES in production environment and modified the windows registry to accommodate certificate and web service because of the old operating system (Windows Server 2008). An indicator flag was added to Portal XL to allow the client to request more data returned from the RQ's. GBI's vendor created a stylesheet and implemented it into both test and production. Both GBI and DOR implemented the new DRIVES system over the Memorial Day weekend and are currently identifying and fixing minor issues. GEORGIA APPLICANT PROCESSING SERVICE (GAPS) PROJECT Project Description - The Georgia Crime Information Center Information Services is seeking to obtain the services of a qualified and experienced vendor to provide an applicant fingerprinting solution that will electronically capture and submit applicant fingerprints to the Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS). In addition, the selected vendor shall handle receiving fingerprint search results and disseminate the results to the requestor. Monthly Update - Testing of all deliverables was completed. The NCJ unit began UAT of the system and submitted UAT findings to the vendor for review and correction. NATIONAL INCIDENT-BASED REPORTING SYSTEM (NIBRS) PROJECT Project Description - The National Incident Based Reporting System (NIBRS) collects data on each single incident and arrest for each offense coming to the attention of law enforcement for which specific facts about each crime is collected. GBI is in the process of replacing the current UCR summary-based system with an application that will collect incident-based data. Monthly Update - The vendor continues development of the Publication site for NIBRS and GBI continues UAT for the GA Test Region. 16 RAP BACK PROJECT Project Description - The Rap Back project will provide the ability to receive ongoing status notifications of criminal history activity reported on individuals holding positions of trust. Georgia's Rap Back System will include the retention of applicant fingerprints, the implementation of an FBI Rap Back Subscription on such prints, and the creation of a validation process for authorized entities to manage such subscriptions. Monthly Update - The sole source bid was completed for the vendors and a purchase order was provided to each for their services. SEX OFFENDER REGISTRY TOOL (SORT) ENHANCEMENT PROJECT Project Description - Continued enhancements to SORT application to meet the needs of local law enforcement and public. Monthly Update GBI met with the Watch Systems staff to discuss the Offender Watch test system IP address, Offender Watch Test Plan/Timeline and handling instances of duplicate data. 17
