Monthly Update - The developer is continuing to work on developing a SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) package. CRIMINAL JUSTICE EXCHANGE PROJECT Project Description - The Georgia Bureau of Investigation will programmatically own an initiative of the Governor's Office entitled Criminal Justice Exchange Project (CJEP). CJEP will incorporate the electronic exchanges of information between state and local criminal justice agencies in Georgia. Each exchange automates a manual, paper-based criminal justice business process and will follow a criminal case lifecycle from booking through disposition and supervision. The goals of the project are to create seamless connections between systems, establish a single, consistent architecture adopted to guide all aspects of program implementation and to establish a governance structure that views criminal justice as a statewide community. The exchanges will involve the coordination of multiple agencies and vendor applications. Monthly Update - GBI, GTA, consultants, statewide stakeholders and vendors continue to meet and work towards the completion of the project data exchanges by the October 2018 release date. The Oracle solution for the problem with the CCH database not returning client certificate to the GTA Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) as part of the SSL secure handshake has been addressed and the vendors are testing. CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT (CRM) APPLICATION PROJECT Project Description - The CRM Application Project will provide a single source of historical interaction with GCIC external customers. The application will give GCIC end users the ability to search, track and report customer interactions throughout GCIC's business units. Monthly Update - The CRM Technical team attended a two-day MS Dynamics Training Bootcamp for project designers and programmers. The PM, PM Manager and the Web Developer met with Microsoft representatives to review the status of the CRM Project and Microsoft advised the best approach for GBI for restart of this project. The PM held a meeting with the Web Developer and PM Manager to set tasks for the CRM project. CUSTOMER SUPPORT - TRAINING Project Description - The Customer Support Training group provides training in GCIC programs, GCIC applications, GCIC/FBI compliance to criminal justice agencies across the State of Georgia. The group extends the option to receive classroom training or training within an e-Learning environment. 14 Monthly Update - The trainings completed online and within the classrooms for the month are included in the charts. The LMS Staff handled 211 phone calls, 753 emails and managed LMS user account additions. 15 DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE DRIVES PROJECT Project Description - The purpose of this project is to implement two interfaces with the new Georgia Department of Revenue (DOR) Driver Record and Integrated Vehicle Enterprise System (DRIVES). These interfaces will use existing LEMS web service capabilities with NIEM XML message formats. One interface will be used to send and receive vehicle registration queries and responses to and from DRIVES. The other interface will be used to receive stolen vehicle requests and responses to and from DRIVES. Monthly Update - GBI was able to address all issues with IBM and ATT and successfully test the port connections between DOR and GBI's test environment. DOR discovered that they inadvertently left off a required IP address and GBI submitted a new ticket requesting that this IP be added. Certificates for the web service have been installed, configured and successfully tested. GCIC TRAINING SYMPOSIUM Project Description - The GCIC Training Symposium is designed to offer continuing education with the goal of providing vital knowledge regarding GCIC and federal law enforcement programs to both the criminal justice and non-criminal communities. Monthly Update - The GCIC Training Symposium was held August 21- 23, 2018 and there were 962 attendees present. 37 different session topics were taught by 47 instructors; in addition to GCIC personnel teaching classes, individuals from local agencies, FDLE, GBI (DOFS, Investigative, Medical Examiner), national partners such as the FBI and Nlets and the GBI NIBRS vendor provided instruction. GEORGIA APPLICANT PROCESSING SERVICE (GAPS) PROJECT Project Description Through the RFP process a GAPS vendor was selected and the GAPS team is working with the selected vendor for implementation of RFP functionalities. Monthly Update - The project team held weekly meetings to define requirements for the Detailed Requirements Specification (DRS) document for the new GAPS. This document is being reviewed by GBI personnel. HUMAN RESOURCES (HR) TIMESHEET PROJECT Project Description - Enhancement of the application used by non-sworn units of the GBI for tracking time. Monthly Update - The developer completed the application and issues were identified with a few requirements such as the storage of the signatures of non-GBI employees and browser dependability issues. The developer is researching solutions to identified issues. MESSAGE SWITCH REPLACEMENT PROJECT Project Description - The message switch provides a means of communication between federal, state and local law enforcement agencies throughout the state of Georgia, the United States and other countries. To take advantage of new features and advances in technology, GCIC is looking to upgrade or replace this system. 16 Monthly Update - Updated requirements were submitted to the GTA CTO Review Board and approval received. RFP posting is postponed pending identification of funding source. National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS) Project Project Description - GBI is in the process of replacing the current UCR summary-based system with an application that will collect incident-based data for submission to the FBI's NIBRS repository. Monthly Update Both Family Violence and SRS data is being entered into the production system. SEX OFFENDER REGISTRY TOOL (SORT) ENHANCEMENT PROJECT Project Description - System enhancements for the SORT application. Monthly Update - GBI programming staff continues to work with the AFIS vendor to complete the integration of SORT with the AFIS IntegraID application for the upload of SORT documentation. SHAREPOINT CONFIGURATION PROJECT Project Description - Implementation of an internal web portal for organizing and sharing information as an employee collaborative tool for internal communication. The portal will also include an Intranet application for each of the three GBI divisions allow content management, document repository and information sharing of announcements, news and department information. Monthly Update - A new project manager has been assigned and is reviewing project notes to update GCIC's PPD SharePoint area. 17
