May 2018 Newsletter 2018 Holocaust Days of Remembrance in Georgia Incite, Resist, Document: Weighing the Power of Words On April 20, Georgia's 2018 Holocaust Days of Remembrance ceremony was hosted at the State Capitol by the Georgia Commission on the Holocaust. "These Days of Remembrance have been set aside for the people of the State of Georgia to remember the victims and honors the survivors, rescuers, and liberators of the Holocaust." The Georgia Commission on the Holocaust designated "Incite, Resist: Document: Weighing the Power of Words" as the theme of the 2018 Georgia Days of Remembrance. Six candles were lit in commemoration of the victims, survivors, rescuers and liberators of the Holocaust. Ross receives 2018 Humanitarian Award Dr. Ross has over 35 years of experience, in both the public and private sectors, leading collaborative programs that strengthen the information capacity of public health systems in the United States and other countries. In his role as president and CEO of The Task Force for Global Health, Dr. Ross provides strategic direction and oversees eight programs focused on neglected tropical diseases, vaccines, field epidemiology, and public health informatics.
