Here is what is new: New exhibit features Holocaust survivors who began new lives in Georgia The new exhibit "Georgia's response to the Holocaust: A Home for Refugees" will be on display this summer in Sandy Springs at Anne Frank in the World: 1929-1945. The display duration is in commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the voyage of the S.S. St. Louis. The exhibit tells the stories of seven Holocaust survivors who left Europe and began new lives in Georgia including the story of Henry Gallant, pictured above, who had been a passenger on the St. Louis. Click here to learn more. "Camera of My Family: Four Generations in Germany" Free showing! Sunday Matinee: June 29, 1pm Catherine Hanf Noren is the photographer and narrator of the original book on which this film is based. Noren came from a middle-class German-Jewish family, and she has created here a photographic essay that describes the members of her family before and during the Holocaust. Anne Frank's Birthday What would you like Anne to know about you, the world, or her legacy? In commemoration of her 85th birthday, submit your own thoughts, comments, wishes, notes, reflections, or photos. The Georgia Commission on the Holocaust is collecting online submissions and will share excerpts online throughout the day on June 12 via Facebook and Twitter. Click here for details and to submit. New trunks decorated for Georgia's Holocaust Learning Trunk Project A total of 20 new trunks decorated for the Georgia Commission on the Holocaust are now on display at the Anne Frank in the World: 1929-1945 exhibit in Sandy Springs. Exhibit about Liberator now in Ringgold The Georgia Commission on the Holocaust in partnership with the Georgia Public Library Service is bringing the travelling exhibit "Witness to the Holocaust: WWII Veteran William Alexander Scott III at Buchenwald" to libraries throughout the state from January to July of 2014.Click here for the full tour schedule... 2014 Summer Camps Program This summer the Georgia Commission on the Holocaust will be providing free special tours and activities for campers grades 5th and above at the Anne Frank in the World: 1929-1945 exhibit in Sandy Springs.
