BY THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA 
 
A PROCLAMATION 
 
LACROSSE DAY 
 
WHEREAS: 
 
The State of Georgia recognizes the unprecedented growth in lacrosse for players of all ages and genders; and 
 
WHEREAS: 
 
We recognize the vital contribution made by the citizens of Georgia to ensure a safe and healthy lacrosse environment for our children; and 
 
WHEREAS: 
 
We recognize the countless hours of volunteer time spent by the citizens of Georgia to give our children the time, space, and coaching necessary to enjoy the sport of lacrosse; and 
 
WHEREAS: 
 
The South Eastern Lacrosse Conference will celebrate 29 years of this valued sport and its athletes. The contributions from this organization and Georgia's citizens is enhanced when the lives of our children reflect good health and sportsmanship; now 
 
THEREFORE: 
 
I, NATHAN DEAL, Governor of the State of Georgia, do hereby proclaim April 23, 2016, as LACROSSE DAY in Georgia. 
 
In witness thereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the Executive Department to be affixed this 4th day of February in the year of our Lord two thousand sixteen.
