A PROCLAMATION 
SCHOOL ADMINISTRATOR APPRECIATION MONTH 
Education is Georgia's number one economic development tool and there is no more forward looking or strategic place to invest. Our children are the next generation of Georgia's leaders; and 
School administrators play an integral role in the academic advancement of Georgia's students and young scholars . These principals, support staff, and educators ensure that our children have a safe, positive environment in which to grow and learn; and 
School leaders work diligently alongside teachers to facilitate academic growth; maintain a rigorous curriculum; set the welcoming tone of their schools ; and fulfill the main goal of our academic institutions, which is to prepare our children for success in the 21st century workforce; and 
Organizations like the Georg ia Association of Secondary School Principals provide support and professional development opportunities to these valued education leaders. They continue to aid our principals in delivering the very best of service; and 
The vision, dedication, and hard work of eve ry principal in Georgia has a direct impact on our current students who will one day be our business , non-profit, and community leaders. Their devotion to the field of education is highly commendable and leaves an indelible mark on the citizens of our state; now 
I, NATHAN DEAL, Governor of the State of Georgia, do hereby proclaim October 2013 as SCHOOL ADMINISTRATOR APPRECIATION MONTH in Georgia and encourage all students and parents to recognize, honor, and thank our school principals for the work they dutifully carry out to benefit our children and the very future of our state.
