THE STATE OF GEORGIA EXECUTIVE ORDER BY THE GOVERNOR: Whereas: The Georgia Department of Community Affairs has been charged with the responsibility of administering the affairs of the Georgia Housing and Finance Authority, including the administration of the federal low income housing tax credit program in Georgia; and Whereas: The Georgia Department of Community Affairs, acting on behalf of the Georgia Housing and Finance Authority, published a draft 2019 Georgia Qualified Allocation Plan on the Department's website on October 12, 2018, and gave due notice of the availability of the draft 2019 Georgia Qualified Allocation Plan and of the public hearings by running advertisements on the week of October 22, 2018, in 150 newspapers throughout the state of Georgia, and by sending notices to industry participants; and Whereas: The Georgia Department of Community Affairs held three public hearings pursuant to due and reasonable notice in Atlanta, Georgia on October 30, 2018; online via webinar on October 30, 2018; and in Valdosta, Georgia on November 5, 2018; and Whereas: Following the hearings and public comment period, the Board of Directors of the Georgia Housing and Finance Authority adopted the 2019 Georgia Qualified Allocation Plan on November 14, 2018. NOW, THEREFORE, PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME AS Governor of the State of Georgia, it is hereby Ordered: That, solely for the purpose of satisfying the requirements for such approval under Section 42(m)(i) of the Internal Revenue Code, as amended by the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1989, the 2019 Georgia Qualified Allocation Plan, in the form approved by the Board of Directors of the Georgia Housing and Finance Authority on November 14, 2018, is approved.
