THE STATE OF GEORGIA EXECUTIVE ORDER BY THE GOVERNOR: Flags on State Capitol Building and in Gwinnett County Ordered Lowered to Half-Staff Whereas: On Saturday, October 20, 2018, Gwinnett County Police Officer Antwan Toney, 30, was tragically killed in the line of duty; and Whereas: Officer Toney honorably served the citizens of Gwinnett County for three years; and Whereas: It is fitting and proper to recognize Officer Toney's sendee to Gwinnett County and the State of Georgia by lowering the flags on the State Capitol building and in Gwinnett County to half-staff. NOW, THEREFORE, IN HONOR AND AS A MARIC OF RESPECT FOR THE MEMORY OF OFFICER ANTWAN TONEY, PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME AS GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF Georgia, it is hereby Ordered: That the flag of the United States and the flag of the State of Georgia be flown at half-staff on the State Capitol building and in Gwinnett County on Wednesday, October 24, 2018.
