THE STATE OF GEORGIA
EXECUTIVE ORDER
BY THE GOVERNOR:

WHEREAS:

The State of Georgia holds title to 25.289 acres of improved real property (the "Property") by virtue of a Warranty Deed dated August 9, 1974, from E.N.T. Investment Co. and Philip Taratoot being recorded in Deed Book 3222, Page 312 in the office of the Clerk of Superior Court in DeKalb County and inventoried as record #005895 by the State of Georgia; and

WHEREAS: Said Propetty is in the custody of the Department of Corrections (the "Department") and was acquired as patt ofthe Metro State Prison Facility; and

WHEREAS:

The Propetty is improved with an approximately 768 square foot storage building (BLLIP ID # 692) (the "Structure"), as shown in that aerial photograph attached hereto as Exhibit A, and incorporated herein by reference; and

WHEREAS:

Said Stmchtre is identified by the Deprutment to be in disrepair, has been abandoned, contains no salvageable equipment of value, and has been identified as hazardous in its present state; and

WHEREAS:

The Board of Corrections on May 4, 2017 resolved to recommend the removal of the Structure and requested that the State Propetties C01mnission seek an Executive Order from the Governor to allow for the razing, demolition, and disposal of the Struchtre as in the best interest of the State of Georgia.

NOW, THEREFORE, PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME AS GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, IT IS HEREBY

ORDERED:

The Depmtment of Corrections is hereby authorized and directed to provide for the razing, demolition and disposal ofsaid Stmcture under the terms and conditions which are deemed to be in the best interests of the State of Georgia.
