FLAGS ON ALL STATE BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS ORDERED LOWERED TO HALF-STAFF
Today, we mourn the lives of three law enforcement officers who were killed in an attack in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Sunday, July 17, 2016; and
In addition to the three officers who lost their lives, we pray for the healing of three additional officers who sustained injuries during this senseless attack; and
As caring and compassionate people, we should also pray for our law enforcement officers who put their lives on the line each and every day as they tty their best to uphold their commitment "To Protect and To Serve" the communities and people they serve.
NOW, THEREFORE, IN HONOR AND AS A MARK OF RESPECT FOR THOSE AFFECTED BY THIS TRAGEDY, PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME AS GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, IT IS HEREBY
That the flag of the United States and flag of the Great State of Georgia be flown at half-staff on all State buildings and grounds until sunset, Friday, July 22, 2016.
