THE STATE OF GEORGIA 
EXECUTIVE ORDER 
BY THE GOVERNOR: 
 
FLAGS ON STATE BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS ORDERED LOWERED TO HALF STAFF 
 
WHEREAS: 
 
On Wednesday, December 2, 2015, a couple, intent on destroying the lives of others, stormed into a social services facility in San Bernadino, California, took the lives of 14 innocent people and injured numerous others; and 
 
WHEREAS: The people of Georgia share the grief of the families and friends of those who were injured or killed, and we pray for their comfort and healing in the days to come; and 
 
WHEREAS: The President of the United States has ordered that the flag of the United States be flown at half-staff on government buildings and grounds. 
 
Now, THEREFORE, IN HONOR AND AS A MARK OF RESPECf FOR 
THOSE AFFECfED BY THIS TRAGEDY, PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME AS GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, IT IS HEREBY 
 
ORDERED: That the flag of the United States and flag of the Great State of Georgia be flown at half-staff on all state buildings and grounds from this date until sunset, December 7, 2015.
