THE STATE OF GEORGIA 
EXECUTIVE ORDER 
 
BY THE GOVERNOR: 
 
WHEREAS: 
 
The Floyd County Coroner, Craig Burnes, was indicted by a grand jury ofthe Superior Court of Floyd County, Georgia, on felony charges ofviolations of oaths by public officer, theft by taking, criminal attempt, false statements and writings, and violating the Racketeer InfIuenced and Corrupt Organizations Act; and 
 
WHEREAS: Craig Burnes voluntarily suspended himselfpursuant to Section 45-5-6 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated on February 26, 1999; and 
 
WHEREAS: The aforementioned code provision provides that the Governor shall appoint a replacement sheriff for the duration of the suspension. 
 
NOW. THEREFORE, PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME AS GOVERNOR OF T,HE STATE OF GEORGIA, IT IS HEREBY 
ORDERED: That the Honorable Barry Henderson of Floyd County, Georgia, is hereby appointed as the replacement Coroner of Floyd County, effective this date for the duration of the suspension of Coron
