This will acknowledge receipt of your recent correspondence in which you tendered your resignation as Superior Court Judge for the Atlantic Judicial Circuit, Pembroke, Georgia. It is my understanding that by mutual agreement, your resignation will be effective May 3 1, 1999. By copy of this letter, your resignation is hereby accepted. Additionally, I have enclosed a copy of the Executive Order indicating your appointment as a Senior Judge, effective June 1, 1999. 
Your service to the State of Georgia in the above capacity is greatly appreciated, and I extend to you my best wishes for the future.
