GA G600 .SI E9 THE STATE OF GEORGIA EXECUTIVE ORDER BY THE GOVERNOR: WHEREAS: State government in Georgia has evolved over the decades from a relatively small institution which was located in central facilities in and around the State Capitol to a large and complex organization requiring larger buildings in numerous locations; and WHEREAS: The General Assembly has determined that there has never been a thorough and comprehensive review of the siting of state government facilities or any comprehensive plan or policy governing the most effective and efficient siting of such facilities; and WHEREAS: The 1998 General Assembly passed House Resolution 742, creating the Blue Ribbon Commission on State Government Facilities, and which bill was signed by me on April 23, 1998 as Resolution Act 116; and WHEREAS: House Resolution 742 provides that the Governor shall appoint three members to the Blue Ribbon Commission on State Government Facilities, one of whom shall be designated as the chairperson; NOW THEREFORE, PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME AS GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED: That the following named persons be and they are hereby appointed as members of the Blue Ribbon Commission on State Government Facilities: Mr. Tim Burgess Director, Office of Planning and Budget 254 Washington Street, Suite 614 Atlanta, Georgia 30334 Chairperson Mr. Daniel Ebersole Director, Office of Treasury and Fiscal Services Suite 1202, West Tower 200 Piedmont Avenue Atlanta, Georgia 30334 B-22-0221-1997 Commissioner Marti Fullerton Georgia Department of Labor 148 International Boulevard Atlanta, Georgia 30303 IT IS FURTHER ORDERED: That the forenamed members shall serve a term along with the state auditor, the executive director ofthe State Properties Commission, the executive secretary of the Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission and members appointed by the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, according to House Resolution 742, shall submit a report of findings and recommendations to the Governor and General Assembly, and that the commission shall stand abolished on the date of convening of the 1999 session of the General Assembly.
