GA GioOO .Si Ei mif^-zo THE STATE OF GEORGIA EXECUTIVE ORDER BY THE GOVERNOR: WHEREAS: By Executive Order dated May 2, 1995 the Governor created the Governor's Commission on Privatization of Government Services (the "Commission") to carry out the recommendations of the Privatization Task Force, including the establishing of pilot projects to demonstrate the value of the privatization concept, to refine the understanding of the advantages and difficulties associated with privatization and to serve at the pleasure of the Governor; and WHEREAS: The Commission has successfully completed its goals and objectives; and WHEREAS: The Commission, at its September 11, 1997 meeting, resolved that it should be dissolved as soon as the Governor deems it necessary; NOW, THEREFORE, PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME AS GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED: That the Governor's Commission on Privatization of Government Services and its staff be dissolved on September 30, 1997; and further ORDERED: That the Governor's Office of Planning and Budget be given the responsibility for oversight of privatization in the future and that each department head be responsible for assessing privatization opportunities on an ongoing basis within his/her department.
