,I GI-\ GGOC' .s i /a 9 1c1c17 -i;;_ THE STA TE OF GEORGIA EXECUTIVE ORDER BY THE GOVERNOR: WHEREAS: The State of Georgia is in need of a comprehensive and coordinated strategic plan for meeting the long-term needs of the chronically ill and disabled citizens of the state: and WHEREAS: The responsibility for appropriate planning for these future needs is presently divided among a number of state agencies; and WHEREAS: The General Assembly has determined that it is in the best interest of the citizens of Georgia that the state's effort in the area of long-term care be guided by a master plan to assure that disabled and chronically ill citizens receive appropriate services in the most effective and efficient manner possible; and WHEREAS: The 1997 General Assembly passed Senate Resolution 145. creating the Georgia Long-Term Care Study Commission, and which bill was signed by me on April 19. 1997 as Resolution Act 30; and WHEREAS: Senate Resolution 145 provides that the Governor shall appoint eight members to the Georgia Long-Term Care Study Commission, one of whom shall be designated as the convener; NOW THEREFORE, PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME AS GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED: That the following named persons be and they are hereby appointed as members of the Georgia Long-Term Care Study Commission.
