Governor and First Lady Announce Birth of New Grandson 
 
ATLANTA  Today Governor Sonny Perdue and First Lady Mary Perdue proudly announce the birth of their sixth grandchild. 
Judson "Judd" Hunter Perdue was born this afternoon at 4:42 pm at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, weighing 7 lbs., 8 oz. He is the second child of Reverend Jim Perdue and his wife Stephanie, a former school teacher. 
"Mary and I are thrilled to have another healthy addition to our family," said Governor Sonny Perdue. "For the second year in a row, we have been blessed with an early Christmas gift." 
On Dec. 11, 2005, the Perdues welcomed their fifth grandchild Elizabeth. The baby boy is the Perdue's third grandson. They also have three granddaughters.
