Deals to light Governor's Mansion, Capitol Christmas trees 
 
Gov. Nathan Deal, First Lady Sandra Deal and other state officials will kick off the holiday season by taking part in the annual lighting of Christmas trees at the Governor's Mansion on Sunday, Dec. 7, and the state Capitol on Monday, Dec. 8. The ceremony at the Governor's Mansion will include performances by the 116th Army Band's Gate City Brass, Georgia Symphony Orchestra Jazz Trio, soloist Katie Deal and the Lovett Singers. At the Capitol, the ceremony will feature performances by the Atlanta Boy Choir, Alumni Men's Choir and Parkview High School Orchestra. Both events are open to the public.
