State Board of Education to Hold Called Meeting & Hearing

March 13, 2012 -- The State Board of Education will hold a called meeting on Tuesday, March 20, at 11 a.m. to take action on student waivers and variances, charter school petitions, and a Race to the Top contract. Following the Called Meeting, the State Board of Education will conduct a hearing at 1:30 p.m. pursuant to Georgia Code Section 20-2-73 relating to recommendations for potential suspension of local boards of education for governance related issues. The Hearing is a continuation from November 28, 2011. The called State Board of Education meeting and the hearing will be held in the State Board Room, 2070 Twin Towers East.
