February 2015 Special Bulletin Follow Us! Medicaid Provider Revalidation Deadline extended to March 1st Dear Providers, The Georgia Department of Community Health has extended the deadline for Medicaid providers to revalidate enrollment to March 1, 2015. The Affordable Care Act mandates that states revalidate the enrollment of all providers every five (5) years. On March 1, 2015, DCH will begin suspending providers who were sent revalidation letters and have not revalidated their enrollment. Providers have 60 days from the date of their revalidation letter to complete the revalidation process. DCH allows an additional 60 days for providers to complete the process, so those providers who have not revalidated their enrollment within the 120-day time period will be suspended from the Georgia Medicaid/PeachCare for Kids program. Providers who are suspended will not be paid for claims from March 1, 2015, and until such time that their revalidation has been completed. It is very important that providers revalidate as soon as possible and not wait until the deadline date to give DCH and HPES time to process their revalidation application. Beginning in April 2014 and monthly thereafter, DCH and Hewlett-Packard Enterprise Services (HPES) sent letters to providers requiring that they revalidate their enrollment within 60 days of the date on the letter. A significant number of these letters sent to providers were returned to HPES. In January 2015, a postcard reminder was also sent to providers encouraging them to revalidate by February 1, 2015. It is critical that providers ensure that their mail-to address is correct in the Georgia Medicaid Management Information System (GAMMIS) by March 1, 2015. Providers can review or update their mail-to address information by logging into GAMMIS and clicking on Demographic Maintenance. A report of the providers who have not revalidated through October 1, 2014, can be found online through the GAMMIS at www.mmis.georgia.gov. Click on Provider Information/Provider Notices. A Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document on revalidation can be found on GAMMIS at www.mmis.georgia.gov. Click on Provider Information/FAQ for Providers. Please note: Providers may not revalidate using a paper application. In addition, providers may contact Medicaid's fiscal agent HPES at 800-766-4456 (Option #1) or email DCH at RevalidationEnrollment2@dch.ga.gov for assistance.
