State of Georgia Launches 1.800.georgia A new call center, 1.800.georgia, aims to connect Georgians with the government service they need-- on their first call. 1.800.georgia ( 404-656-2000 in Atlanta) does not replace other state call centers. Rather, it serves people who do not know which agency to contact. When a citizen calls, a trained agent answers and listens to the caller's need. The agent searches a state database called KnowledgeBase to promptly locate the correct service and phone number. The agent then connects the caller and, whenever possible, stays on the line until the person who can help answers. The goal is that callers don't just get a number, they get a person who can help them. The Governor's Office of Customer Service will measure the call center's success. 2007 HMDA Reporting Reminder "A Guide to HMDA Reporting: Getting It Right!" which provides guidance on collection and reporting of HMDA data is available at: http://www.ffiec.gov/hmda/guide.htm Reports of calendar year 2007 HMDA data are due March 1, 2008.
