The market is firm to steady to occasionally weak and the live supply is adequate to short to occasionally long for a good to normal demand. Average weights are desirable to a little light. Estimated slaughter today is 4,710,700 head. This compares with 4,506,100 head last Monday. The f.o.b. dock confirmed final weighted average prices on ice pack parts based on truck load and pool truck load lots for this week's trading are: line run tenders $2.12 (based on 1,954,000 lbs.); skinless boneless breasts $2.0550 (based on 8,736,000 lbs.); whole breasts $1.31 (based on 1,506,000 lbs.); boneless skinless thigh meat $1.5550 (based on 2,109,000 lbs.); thighs 77.00 (based on 1,173,000 lbs.); drumsticks 66.50 (based on 1,689,000 lbs.); leg quarters 47.50 (based on 8,797,000 lbs.); and wings $1.66 (based on 3,879,000 lbs.). The market tone for next week's trading is steady to firm to occasionally weak and the live supply is adequate to short to occasionally long for a good to normal to occasionally light demand. Average weights are desirable with a mostly steady, occasionally weak, lower and firm, price trend. Estimated slaughter today is 4,682,600 head. This compares with 4,659,300 head last Tuesday.
