The market is firm to steady to occasionally weak and the live supply is short to adequate to occasionally long for a good to normal demand. Average weights are desirable. Estimated slaughter today is 4,072,700 head. This compares with 4,601,600 head last Monday. The f.o.b. dock confirmed final weighted average prices on ice pack parts based on truck load and pool truck load lots for this week's trading are: line run tenders $2.1550 (based on 2,005,000 lbs.); skinless boneless breasts $2.06 (based on 8,656,000 lbs.); whole breasts $1.30 (based on 1,469,000 lbs.); boneless skinless thigh meat $1.53 (based on 2,169,000 lbs.); thighs 76.50 (based on 1,203,000 lbs.); drumsticks 59.00 (based on 2,276,000 lbs.); leg quarters 49.00 (based on 8,612,000 lbs.); and wings $1.6950 (based on 3,880,000 lbs.). Average weights are desirable with a mostly higher to steady, occasionally firm and lower, price trend. Estimated slaughter today is 4,585,900 head. This compares with 4,566,200 head last Tuesday.
