The market is firm to steady to occasionally weak and the live supply is adequate to short for a good to normal to occasionally light demand. Average weights are desirable to a little heavy. Estimated slaughter today is 4,751,700 head. This compares with 4,759,400 head last Monday. The f.o.b. dock confirmed final weighted average prices on ice pack parts based on truck load and pool truck load lots for this week's trading are: line run tenders $2.08 (based on 1,956,000 lbs.); skinless boneless breasts $2.05 (based on 8,236,000 lbs.); whole breasts $1.24 (based on 1,722,000 lbs.); boneless skinless thigh meat $1.3850 (based on 1,592,000 lbs.); thighs 74.50 (based on 1,327,000 lbs.); drumsticks 62.00 (based on 2,171,000 lbs.); leg quarters 52.50 (based on 9,079,000 lbs.); and wings $1.6050 (based on 3,738,000 lbs.).
