The market is steady to firm and the live supply is adequate to short for a good to normal demand. Average weights are desirable. Estimated slaughter for today is 4,717,300 head. This compares with 4,727,400 head last Monday. The f.o.b. dock confirmed final weighted average prices on ice pack parts based on truck load and pool truck load lots for this week's trading are: line run tenders $2.41 (based on 2,022,000 lbs.); skinless boneless breasts $2.20 (based on 8,348,000 lbs.); whole breasts $1.3050 (based on 1,754,000 lbs.); boneless skinless thigh meat $1.44 (based on 1,536,000 lbs.); thighs 78.00 (based on 1,327,000 lbs.); drumsticks 69.50 (based on 2,105,000 lbs.); leg quarters 55.50 (based on 9,149,000 lbs.); and wings $1.3950 (based on 3,723,000 lbs.). The final weighted average was $1.1206 f.o.b. dock or equivalent. The market tone for next week's trading is firm to steady and the live supply is adequate to short for a good to normal demand. Average weights are desirable to a little light with a mostly steady to firm to occasionally lower and weak price trend. Estimated slaughter today is 4,751,000 head. This compares with 4,755,800 head last Tuesday. The f.o.b. dock confirmed final weighted average prices on parts were: line run tenders $2.41; skinless boneless breasts $2.20 whole breasts $1.3050; boneless skinless thigh meat $1.44; thighs 78.00; drumsticks 69.50; leg quarters 55.50; and wings $1.3950. Cooler inventories and supplies on all parts are balanced to occasionally light and heavy with a mostly good to balanced to very good demand.
