The market is mostly steady to occasionally weak and slightly firm and the live supply is adequate to short for a good to normal demand. Average weights are desirable. Estimated slaughter for today is 4,458,300 head. This compares to 4,400,000 head last Monday. The f.o.b. dock confirmed final weighted average prices on ice pack parts based on truck load and pool truck load lots for this week's trading are: line run tenders $2.08 (based on 1,794,000 lbs.); skinless boneless breasts $1.9850 (based on 7,644,000 lbs.); whole breasts $1.19 (based on 1,904,000 lbs.); boneless skinless thigh meat $1.5250 (based on 1,251,000 lbs.); thighs 75.00 (based on 1,327,000 lbs.); drumsticks 76.00 (based on 1,347,000 lbs.); leg quarters 53.50 (based on 9,374,000 lbs.); and wings $1.4450 (based on 3,483,000 lbs.). Average weights are desirable with a steady to occasionally lower to weak price trend. Estimated slaughter today is 4,772,200 head. This compares with 4,740,800 head last Tuesday.
