The market is steady to firm, occasionally weak and the live supply is adequate to short for a good to normal, occasionally light demand. Average weights are desirable but are heavier than desired in a few instances. Estimated slaughter today is 4,747,900 head. This compares to 4,782,200 head last Monday.
