The market is steady to firm and the live supply is adequate for a good to normal demand. Average weights are mostly desirable. Estimated slaughter today is 4,550,400 head. This compares with 3,669,900 head last Sunday and Monday. The f.o.b. dock confirmed final weighted average prices on ice pack parts based on truck load and pool truck load lots for this week's trading are: line run tenders $1.89 (based on 1,669,000 lbs.); skinless boneless breasts $1.64 (based on 7,222,000 lbs.); whole breasts $1.0250 (based on 1,382,000 lbs.); boneless skinless thigh meat $1.3450 (based on 1,159,000 lbs.); thighs 73.00 (based on 1,327,000 lbs.); drumsticks 72.50 (based on 1,357,000 lbs.); leg quarters 54.00 (based on 9,302,000 lbs.); and wings $1.92 (based on 3,711,000 lbs.).
