Kleweno nass-ga@nass.usda.gov BROILERS PLACED IN GEORGIA UP 1 PERCENT BROILER EGGS SET UP 9 PERCENT Placement of broiler chicks in Georgia during the week ending November 13, 2010 was 25.4 million, up slightly from the previous week and up 1 percent from the comparable week last year, according to the USDA, NASS, Georgia Field Office. An estimated 32.8 million broiler type eggs were set by Georgia hatcheries, up 3 percent from the previous week and up 9 percent from the comparable week a year earlier. Broiler-type chicks hatched during the week totaled 26.0 million, up 2 percent from the previous week and up 4 percent from the comparable week a year earlier.
