Receives Funds, to Ben~fit Natural Resources Conservation ,Georgia has received $12;7 milllion in cost-share funds to implement conservation in Georgia in 2003, announced Leonard Jordan, State Conservationist, USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). ,Since the 2002 Farm Bill'was signed into iaw last year on May 13 by President Bush, more than 57,400 producers in Georgia have received technical and ,financial assistance through the NRCS. "I'm exCited, by the willingness of Georgia producers to do their part to take care of their natural resources; not only do 'these farm bill programs help, the, producer by sharing some of the cost of conservation, but they help those in the non-farm community by ensuring cleaner water, he::fithier a,ir, and'more productive soil, for us and for future generations," Jordan said.
