Phil Campbell, Commissioner OF 1 1 927. 1 95: 7 Farm Income ~ Distribution Of Income From Georgia Crops, 2 Livestock In 1927 and 3 The two pie graphs pictured represent the distribution of cash income from Georgai crops and livestock in 1927 and i in 1957. It is interesting to note the changes that have taken place during the past ag thirty years in Georgia's agricultural pic- ture. The farm diversification program is evident in the 1957 pie. Notice the differ- ence in the size of cotton and cotton seed in the two graphs. Notice the change that has taken place in the broiler industry. The cash income from livestock ex- ceeded the cash income from crops for the first time in Georgia in 1957. Live- stock accounted for only 16.3 percent of the income in 1927, whereas in 1957 live- _ stock accounted for 54.2 percent of- total, P Cotton Cottonseed 58.51 ~ P09 tho pli Ae ber a Carollisn _ ADA. of Georgia District meeting. ober 15, Tifton Broiler Production Marketing Short Course, : ZS Woodbury > Sth Annual ento Festival. : - 16, Decatur eae A. of Geor- ee District seceting, : rr 17, Lavonia A.D.A. of Geor gia District oe ber 17, Tifton Tobacco Short ourse, Tifton a nite Method of a Short Course.
