Automatic waterers are just as im- portant as self feeders in the efficient*pro- duction of pork, he declares. The Extension swine specialist said poor gains result when too little water is consumed by the hogs. This often happens, he added, when water has to be trans- ported to pastures and fields. Hays con- tinued that many farmers allow their - hogs to travel long distances through con- taminated lanes to sources of water. Water enters into practically every phase of food digestion and assimulation, (Continued on page 4) Poultry Management School Sef for March A Southeastern School of Manage- ment for the poultry industry will be held at the University of Georgia in Athens during 1957, according to Oscar A.
