Department of Commerce. Census figures released by the De- partment credit Thomas County with 12,- 827, acres devoted to the production of vegetable crops valued at $667,163. According to the figures Thomas leads all other Georgia counties in the produc- tion of snap beans and cabbage and ranks ~ second to Brooks County in the produc- tion of watermelons.
