Its promotion work is designed primar- ily to help dispose of food production sur- pluses, but it also aids the retailer through increased sales. Subscribers wishing to continue receiving the Bulletin after that date should request it immediately by mail or telephone. This action has been made necessary due to re-zoning of Atlanta by the Post Office Department, which would result in excessive costs to the State Depart- ment of Agriculture if the Bulletins en- ed. Atlanta route and city subscribers may continue their subscriptions by phon-_ ing WAlnut 3561 or by writing: Market Bulletin, Dept. of Agriculture, State Cap- itol, Atlanta. The other major cost cf the Federal Program was for fees to veterinarians who made disease tests of - animals. Tt has been estimated that Brucellosis alone costs the nations livestock industry 65 million dollars a year. There is no way of knowing how much its human form, Undulant Fever, costs us. Our Federal-State livestock disease program will work. It IS working. Bru- cellosis infection in the U.S. in 1934 was about 10 per cent. In 1953 it was down to 3% per cent.
